<topic>Mature Christian full-time student requires accommodation</topic>
I am helping a mature Christian full-time student (aged 42) to urgently find accomodation in the area. The student has coronary health problems which means he needs an environment which is reasonably quiet, well-heated as the autumn draws in and ideally with someone around to check regularly on him, health-wise. This student is on full state benefits for his disability and has his own car. If you know anyone who would be able to provide appropriate accomodation, even in the short-term, please contact me on 01242 543400 or 07801 183620.

A change of venue has become necessary for our lunch meeting on May 4th. In place of meeting at Glenfall House we will be meeting at The House of the Open Door. I'm sure many of you will have already experienced their excellent food, location and hospitality. The date and time remains the same. The cost is slightly higher at £9 instead of £8.50. The location of The House of the Open Door is at Childswickham. This is 23 miles from Cheltenham but well worth the journey. Invites to the lunch will be sent out soon together with directions.

<topic>President of EA in Sudan available to speak</topic>
I am writing at extremely short notice (for which apologies) about a visit to the UK of Bishop Elias Taban. He is the President of EA in Sudan and a most remarkable man. He is visiting the UK to alert us to the situation facing Christians in Sudan and to share the needs of his people for healthcare.
A church in Bristol has asked for him to be with them on April 3rd. Bishop Taban is therefore available to speak in the Gloucestershire area on Monday 4th or Tuesday 5th April should anyone like to invite him. It may alternatively be possible for him to speak on another occasion during his visit from 1st to 20th. If you would like to have Bishop Taban come and speak during either of those time periods please contact me directly.
You will find full information about Bishop Taban and his remarkable story in a leaflet which is available from the MCEA web site Documents page.
Please phone me on 01235 532224 if you would like Bishop Taban to speak.

<topic>Local Church launches Tsunami Emergency Relief</topic>
Following the tsunami disaster in South Asia on Boxing Day, Golden Valley Church has launched an emergency relief fund to help channel funds directly to established contacts and partners in Sri Lanka. We appreciate that many churches and individuals are already supporting the massive humanitarian effort in the region, but we wanted in addition to assist close friends and colleagues 'on the ground' and are collecting funds for that purpose.
One of the pastors writes, "One man went to a funeral of 50 of his friends on Monday - those whose bodies have been found. That town has been completely wiped out - houses, vehicles, land deeds, bank details, money. Many people are still missing. Yesterday 807 bodies were found in one train, with one carriage missing which must have been hurled into the sea... The authorities are all asking everyone to get involved in relief... we are seeing this as an amazing opportunity."
If anyone would like to support this particular ministry, please contact us by phone, email, or post.
A leaflet is available on the documents page. Thanks.
